ROLLING PIN CARE

In order to keep your Textured Rolling Pins beautiful and in great shape please remember to oil them upon arrival

again every few months depending on use.

Mineral oil is inexpensive at your local pharmacy, butcher block oil from your home inprovement store or even

cooking oil (though I find that can sometimes gum up after a while). My preference is mineral oil or butcher block.

You can just dab it on with a paper towel or cloth and oil the whole pin including handles.

It is best to soak them in a mineral oil bath or bath of the oil you choose for best conditioning.

***The following is especially important for the 12 in rolling pins due to their length ***

Roll your texture into pretty fresh clay (dust with corn starch if it is sticking) I put my wareboard with slab on my

coffee table so I can stand over it to be able to press firmly all the way across. I find I get a better impression

not using the handles, but press and roll in the middle of the pin.

STAMP CARE

As with the rolling pins, these stamps are cut very deep and being wood it is bast to oil them to keep them conditioned. Once the oil has completely dried you can use a little cornstarch on your clay if you have any kind of sticking.

STENCIL CARE

TEMPLATE/ Form CARE

TEXTURE BOARDS

Your stencils will last a long time with the proper care. Once you have removed them from your project simply run them under some warm water and the glaze will come right off. No scrubbing needed. Lay them flat on a towel to dry then store them flat when not in use.

Your templates are made high quality exterior grade of wood product with a high moisture resistance. When you’re finished gently wipe any residual clay with a slightly damp cloth then store them flat to avoid any warping. Do not leave your clay on them for over a day to avoid swelling and splitting.

Texture Boards (made from the highest quality exterior grade wood product to resist moisture, swelling or molding) You can lightly sprinkle with cornstarch prior to rolling your clay on. These boards resist sticking.
